Can 4.5 and 3 week old chicks have cottage cheese as a treat on a hot day?

Wondering what some good treats are for a hot day for chicks in their run.

Frozen watermelon, peas frozen into a bowl of water. Pretty much any normal treat can be frozen into a bowl and put out for them.

How old are your chicks?
Do they have shade?
We had a couple pretty hot ones, it's over now....I didn't even put out the ice block tho.
