I have 2 chicks (about 16 weeks old) who appear to be bantams. However, I'm certain they hatched from full sized eggs. Is that possible?

I'm asking if a bantam can come from a full sized egg. I know what I put under my broody hen. They were full-sized eggs. But the chicks that hatched are bantams. I'm asking how that can be.What actually are you asking?...Definitely a Bantam egg can hold a cross...
That makes sense. So the full sized mother laid a regular egg which was holding a bantam-fertilized embryo. If sired by a bantam rooster they may very well mature mid size between the bantam and the large fowl mother.
It can't be if you don't have Bantam?I'm asking if a bantam can come from a full sized egg. I know what I put under my broody hen. They were full-sized eggs. But the chicks that hatched are bantams. I'm asking how that can be.
I bought fertilized eggs from a friend. She has a bantam roo who obviously fertilized these eggs. I just thought that because they were hatched from a full sized egg, that meant they would be full sized chickens. It can't be if you don't have Bantam?

They definitely fill the egg but grow as Chicks to the cross they are.I bought fertilized eggs from a friend. She has a bantam roo who obviously fertilized these eggs. I just thought that because they were hatched from a full sized egg, that meant they would be full sized chickens.
