Yes a bantam cockerel or rooster can mate a large fowl pullet or hen. My black silkie cockerel would try and mate my Cornish cross pullet who was triple his size. Whenever he jumped on her back she would start running and shake him off of her. It was quiet the sight to see

Do you guys have any suggestions on how to house roosters. I ask because 1 keeps getting beat up by the hens or his brother?
