Can a blind chicken live a normal life with other chickens?

I have a Silkie pullet who I believe is blind. She had an eye infection at one time, which has healed with the use of eye ointment. Now she does not seem to be able to see, though her eyes look clear and normal. We can wave something right in front of her face and she does not appear to see it. When I give the others treats, she no longer runs up to me but stands wherever she is like she's wondering what all the commotion is about. When I touch her, though, she will try to run away. My husband and I both think she is blind.

She is in a pen with only a few other Silkies, who are fairly docile and do not seem to bother her. If we keep the food and water in the same place so she can get to it easily, can she live a normal life in the pen with the other chickens? I have seen her drinking water and she got watermelon all over her beard a few days ago when I left some in the pen, so I assume she ate some of it. She is growing just like the others, so I assume she is doing okay so far.

Has anyone else brought up a blind chicken in the same pen with others?
