I have a beautiful partridge silkie rooster that I got a few fertile eggs from a mille d'flurre hen. They hatched but all 3 died after a couple days. No reason, and others in the same brooder all lived and thrived. So I decided to switch up my coops a little. The same roster has now fertilized a few other hens eggs. Different breeds of hens. So far 4 of the eggs grew to lockdown and died before hatch. Could it be the rooster with the problem? I thought maybe it was the combo of the milli and silkie but now it's been with an Easter egger and a cochin And the eggs didn't hatch. Others in the same incubator hatched just fine.

It can be a genetic problem with the rooster or possibly a nutrition problem with him or the hens.
It's not the hens I know that. They have produced with other roosters and been fine. I recently switched things up to find the problem. I think it's got to be the rooster;(
