I have made posts about one of my chicks (about 6/7 weeks old) that may or may not be sick. It seems thinner with less feathers. While I was holding and petting them tonight, I noticed that the one in question felt warmer then the other ones. And I was wondering if they can run a fever like us or other animals that are under the weather. BTW eating and drinking, but I did see it drinking this afternoon and then choke up a little water, can that happen when they drink too fast?

they can have a fever.
what all do you feed?
what is your set up?(brooder?, coop? heat light?) in detail please.
what bedding do you use?
describe the droppings..color and consistency
is the vent clear?
how many chicks?

check his crop..feel for lumps ..or grainy feeling
sometimes they can bring up water if they are too full..but best to check the crop.
