The answer to this is yes. I went out this morning to let the duck out of their temp house into their little pen and what to I find? Hanging by her foot and leg is my female Wilamena who has a look of being caught stealing meal worms. So miss escape artist got herself stuck while trying to make her not so daring escape. So I go and lift her off the fence and put her down to let everyone else out. The whole time she is quacking at me like it’s my fault.
when I look at her though she is limping. So here is my cue to cheer for the oh so intelligent duck. So I scooped her up and off into the house I go to get a better look at her. Nothing seemed broken so I put her in a warm soak for about a half hour with some meal worms and then decided to see how she was. Needless to say she seemed tender but ok so she went back out with her drake and flock before work while I think of a way of keeping her from not trying to escape any more.
