hey from 8 days 8 chicks hatched and today i have only 1 duck hatching the other duck eggs died i would like to know will the duck survive with the chicks or should i put on her own

I did that last year w my 3 duck eggs that hatched. I let them grow up with the chicks..everyone grew up perfectly fine and healthy w/no issues. Now, the ducks wander around and go visit their brooder mates, but are happy to be in their pond!
Good luck with your little one....have u thought of buying 1 or 2 other ducklings?

The duck would be super lonely without anyone in the brooder with him. If it were multiple ducks it would be best to move them because they dump the water everywhere and make a huge wet mess that isn't good (I'm told) for chicks because they might get cold. I would either A. invent some sort of dump-proof waterer, lots of people on the duck forum have awesome ideas or B. clean the brooder veryyy often hehe.

The duck will just think it's a chick too, a giant, poopy, quacky, chick
