Can a fertile egg be refrigerated and later be put in an incubator?

Hi. I was just wondering if I could store fertile eggs in a refrigerator or what can I do to keep them safe until I can get an incubator. Any info will greatly help.
Yes you can don't leave them in more than five days and leave them out until they get room temperature before putting them in the incubator

That would be a 'Yes'; it is better to store them in the bottom drawer of the fridge- It is best to incubate within 7 days of refrigeration (for quail) for best results. I have had pretty good luck with chicken eggs up to 2-1/2 weeks refrigerated (on a medium setting) if they freeze- They are no good,

I recall, from many years back, a hen hatching almost her entire clutch of eggs that were exposed to open outdoor, near or very likely below freezing temperatures and even light snow before she became broody.

About a month or so back, someone bought a carton of fertilized eggs from trader joes and hatched them. They had been in the refrigerator case.

Is it recommended? No. Can you hatch out chicks anyway? Yes.
How did they know they were fertile when they bought them?
