Can a ground dove egg hatch with Pigeon or Dove eggs?

Ya what the title says, can that be possible or would the egg die or something cause of different body temperature? Also if the egg does manage to hatch would the adoptive parents be able to feed it since it'll be tinier than their species squabs?

Where some pigeons not all will feed (in my loft anyway) any squeaker that is on the floor when they begin begging for food I would say yes.

That being said it would only happen in a perfect world.

A dove however after being excepted by it's step parents would not fair well in a loft with a flock of pigeons it would be bullied scalped and probably killed.

Doves and pigeons have been know to mate and raise young together but the offspring are mules and can not reproduce.

As an 'only child' it would have a greater chance of surviving than if it had to compete with squabs.
