Can a hen turn into a rooster?

I live in Rockport, Texas, and my entire flock survived as Harvey gave us a direct hit. They ran the neighborhood until it was safe to come back home & we were able to fix the coop. Then a raccoon snuck in & got two of my hens. (He's long gone now) one of the hens was the head hen. Since then, Little Bit has started crowing. She is a 3 year old buff orphington, who has laid plenty of eggs, and has always been on the lower rung of the flock totem pole. Her wattles and comb have also gotten bigger than I have ever seen before. She is obviously the head of the flock now, so is she a rooster? Can a hen turn into a rooster? I have seen some really strange animal and plant behavior since the storm, but I think Little Bit turning into a rooster takes the cake!

No, a hen cannot turn into a rooster. Dominant hens can and do crow. And a hen whose ovary is damaged may get some of the secondary sex characteristics of a rooster, but she is not actually a rooster and cannot fertilize eggs.
