We have a 1 year old doe (May 7th,2011) and a buck who is born in 2008. Is the buck to old to mate with the doe? Would it produce healthy offspring?

Young bucks are usually more vigorous and fertile than older bucks. Some bucks lose their fertility around age 5, so even though they may go through the motions, they may not produce litters. Your buck may still be fertile, or not; hard to say at this point. If you breed them, and she produces nothing after a few tries, my bet would be that the buck is the problem.
