Can a RIR fertilize a banty hen??

Is this a stupid question? If so, I'm sorry, but better to ask than assume.

Is it physically possible for a large RIR roo to fertilize a small banty hen? My DH says no, but I'm not sure.

I had a little cockerel who was from a banty frizzle hen with a standard Buff Orpington sire, so it's entirely possible!

Very possible, but make sure he's not too big for her. He might hurt her with his size.

YUP!!!

But he can hurt her. It has been known that tiny banty roos have been able to fertilize Big hens!!!

I didn't want them to breed. Mostly, the two RIR roos leave the bantys alone, but the eggs are fertile. I'm hoping STRONGLY that the banty roo is th daddy.

I guess it'll be two more weeks until we find out "who da baby daddy".
