Can a rooster' s son be bigger then both parents

I have a rooster named House when he was hatched i rote the name of his father and mother. I thought he was not related to eather of them because he is so much bigger untill i found and looked at the note book i had them in. Both parents have full size chicken genetics but they are distant in one and really distant in the other. Do you guys think he could just have distant genitics for being big? Is it possible for him to be bigger then his parents if he does have distant genitics?

Ps the parents are bantam sized well Mango is in between full size and bantam Owl is bantam

It could be a recessive genes from whatever they were distantly bred to few generations ago.
