can a silkie go with my roo?

i want a silkie but my rooster is so big could he mate with her or would he hurt her. hes pretty big heres a picture.

Depends a lot on how gentle he is. If you got a standard silkie vs bantam, she could probably handle him (though I'd suggest having a chicken apron on her)

hes pretty protective with them and pretty gentle. what does the apron do?

It's a little piece of cloth that hangs around the back of the hen, to prevent the roosters claws / spurs from hurting the hen.
