Can a wild cat kill a turkey?

I'd keep the trap there for at least a week. One bad thing about marshmallows-they don't throw off much scent. Try dipping them in something sweet-smelling, like maple syrup or vanilla extract. I've never tried it, but some trappers swear by grape jelly as a coon bait. Might also try banannas, oranges, or apples. None of those should interest a cat very much. Whatever you use, use a LOT of it. More bait, more smell.

Last night I dipped the marshmallows in peanut butter. Nothing. I will leave it there for a whille. Could it have been a lone male passing by? Figured he would get his grub on before hooking up with the wife and kids?

I have fortified the barn. Even Houdini the cat cat cant get out when I shut her up in there at night. I am more worried about the 100 colored rangers I am getting mid may.

Hopefully I will get something to ease my mind.

If you are going to put out a live trap like I do and am right now, the best thing I have used for varmits is to use boiled bantam eggs. they don't break up like fresh egg and can stay out there a long time. Have caught 4 coons, and a possum in the last couple weeks.
