I do best when looking at the entire group especially with orps. I got two the other year from sonew123 that had to crow before I could tell what they were! ( Remember those splashes Natalie? We just sent old Oliver to the stewpot on Tuesday!)
I balance the look of the tails with the look of the combs to decide roo/hen. It does seem that most of our young roos don't have as nice a tail as the hens do.

I do best when looking at the entire group especially with orps. I got two the other year from sonew123 that had to crow before I could tell what they were! ( Remember those splashes Natalie? We just sent old Oliver to the stewpot on Tuesday!)

Unfortunately, I only had the one Lav Orp. I do have 3 BBS Orps, of which I am working on uploading the photos. Very slow loading tonight.
