My flock had a wave of unknown respiratory illness. Started a week ago with my Easter Egger. I was finally able to get antibiotics (Tylosin) and started the whole flock 3 days ago (they were at various stages of coming down with it or getting over it). My EE went to bed an energetic girl and woke up lethargic and barely did anything all day. She was eating and laying just fine until today. She no longer has respiratory symptoms. On top of it she’s extremely skittish and won’t let me touch her, so I can’t feel her crop. Anyone else experience this? Any advice is a greatly appreciate!

Antibiotics need an accumulation of time to work best so less than 24 hours probably not.
They’ve been on the Tylosine for 2 days when she took a turn. Today was day three. The respiratory stuff went away and now she’s just quiet and lethargic.

Open her beak what do you smell? A sour croup will smell like yeast or just bad.
I’ll try to see if I can grab her. She’s horribly skittish and won’t let me near her. My other girls will let me handle them, just not her.
