Can any gardeners help me?

If it's a mint you should be able to smell it. If it is you can make tea from it. I have some that grows here near the creek that I make tea from all the time.

It smells like spearmint to me, but I'm not a gardener per se.

I just wanted to know if I can use it or not. There aren't any harmful plants that look like it and smell like it, right? I've got great luck like that

nope. but it does have to look and smell like mint for sure.
judging by what you're posting, you're safe.

ummmmmm, I love the smell of mint! Mice are supposed to avoid it, don't know if thats true.... My chickens leave it alone. And nothing like mint ice tea in the summer!

My chickens sample the mint each day when I let them out but they don't go crazy for it.

Maybe the catnip has to be dried? Whenever I try to give my cats fresh catnip, they just ignore it. But they looove the dried kind!

Looks like lemon balm to me...nice to have in a pot, but invasive in the garden.

I'd like to harvest some of it today to see if I can make some homemade tea for Christmas gifts. Is that a good idea?

How do I go about drying it? Thanks in advance

Shellie I would love to have some of it but don't know what i could trade unless i could ship you some rosemary, I think it is starting to root. I cut off some of the limbs and put them i water, if they are rooting I would dearly love to swap you some marrie
