Can any of the poultry diseases be passed on in hatching eggs?

I have never had a disease on my place. I am getting some hatching eggs from a farmer who is not NPIP.
Do I need to worry about the embryos bringing in any diseases? They are not Chanteclers.
Thanks,
Karen

Being NPIP won't help much since the test is only for Pullorum/Typhoid. It just insures those diseases that can devastate industry are not present.

Diseases that transmit vertically from hen to egg/chick are:
Egg drop syndrome
Epidemic tremor
Infectious anemia
Salmonellosis including Arizonosis, Paratyphoid as well as pullorum and typhoid.
Viral arthritis
Runting syndrome
Infectious stunting syndrome
Infectious synovitis
Lymphoid/Sarcoma (leucosis and osteopetrosis
Pseudomonas
Rotaviral enteritis
Colibacillosis
