Any guesses at to the breed of my roo? I ordered the rainbow layer package & the free chick as well.

yes clean legs and a pea comb. plus his legs are a bluish green. was thinking EE myself just thought there was some usual breed out there. He's a total sweetheart. not Rooish at all at 22 weeks.

Took me the longest time to actually tell if he was a roo. Never got that red on his shoulders like someone posted in a thread on here.

He's an Easter Egger rooster.
Yup, I agree. : )

It did for me, too, when we ordered chicks several years back. For me, I think it was wishful thinking. LOL Ours is a very nice rooster, as well, and is great with his hens and chicks.

From what I can see (detail) on the photograph, it may be a 'Columbian Wyandotte'> but it's just a guess! Of course, no matter what (?)... he's a very handsome roo!

Easter egger rooster.

He may still develop some reddish color as he ages, a lot of my EE or mixed breed roosters do. Or, he may stay pure black and white, who know?

I just wish I could leave him with his girls. Very talkative. I can have a rooster where I live, just once the neighbors complain he's gotta go. He has a house in my basement for now but I let him come upstairs with a diaper on. He takes to the diaper well. I hate to put him in freezer camp he's so nice. If he would only learn to be a little quieter with his crowing.
