I have RIR's they have never went broody. I do have a hen than is quite the bully, so I will have to be very careful, when I introduce them, I do have two sections to my coop, so I can separate them, I have been taking them out on pretty days, and sitting them in front of the coop, but they're a little over a month old, so I still have a way to go, before I introduce them to my flock. This may not help with this bunch, but maybe next time.
I usually raise mine with a broody hen, but when I don't have a broody, I start them out in a brooder, inside the coop. By the time they are 10 to 12 weeks, they are already mixing in with the big flock. I've never had any problems, but I do have a pretty laid-back flock.
