Ok I think I know this but I'm not sure and it's been a long time. My DS was not in school the day she showed them this and I ask if she could take the time to show him. I guess she didn't have the time. [IMG]

Thank the Lord! I opened this, praying it was something I could help with. math was never my best subject, and I recently had a bad run in with 'runaway 1's'... whatever they are... something for second graders apparently. Glad you figured out the problem, whatever it was!

I would have offered to help, but I was assuming you wanted him to pass.

    I'm terrible at math.

I place myself with the others who are glad your problem (pun intended) has been resolved. The last time I helped my grandson with math, he said "That's the right answer, Pa, but how did you get it?"[IMG]

You guys are so funny. LOL I ended up calling the teacher and she explained it to me. Now I know how to divide and multiply (sp) the new way. [IMG]

3 parts gin + 1 part dry vermouth + 3 olives = solution for all problems.
