Can anyone help me with this chick color question?

I have Silkies. Four hens which are white, buff, splash and black. There is one black rooster. I've been getting a lot of black chicks because black is a dominant color. Will splash colored Silkies look black and then lighten in color or are all of the black ones definitely going to be black as adults?

I believe a splah mated with a black will give you blue, but these will look black until they grow out a bit.

my baby blues looked lighter I thought-but its been a while since I've had a blue or a black-mostly getting partridge and buff now since that is what I mostly have.But I'm getting more
