Can anyone help me?

I closed on a home today and the owner left their chicken behind. They refunded some money to not be bothered moving her. It seems very cruel to leave her behind and I would like to try to give her a nice life. My parents have always had chickens so I am familiar but have not owned them myself. They have the usual good egg producers and they don’t look anything like this chicken. I’m not sure if he is unhealthy or if she/he was supposed to be a food chicken. Can any one identify this chicken? I would like to give her a quality life regardless of if she produces eggs or not. I had been giving her food and water even before we signed on the house (at inspections and what not as she seemed poorly cared for) and she seems quite friendly and is always happy to see me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

That is a game hen, that's why she is slender. She would get along well in any flock. If there is anything else I can help you with just ask.

It's terrible that her previous owners would just abandon her - how can someone do something so irresponsible and cruel? I agree with the posts above that she'd be happiest with a chicken friend or two. Thank you for giving her a good life!
