I'm getting worried after reading a lot of the posts here. I picked out these babies a couple weeks ago thinking they were females. The fellow I bought them from agreed. In our neighborhood, it would really be better not to have a Roo. So can you help me make sure these are all females. They are about 18 weeks or so now. Especially the first two pictures of my blue Cochin. She is such a baby, loves to be held.

As you can see, the buff Cochin doesn't have the nice big tail feathers as the other two. Is that just because they haven't come in yet maybe?

If you need better pictures, I can try to get closer.

Thanks so much,
Sandy

It is hard to say... but my guesses.

M Gray... could be a roo.

Blackie... really could be a roo.

Buffy... PULLET!!!

Bardee... looks real LIGHT.. which is normally an indication of roo, but I'm still guessing pullet.

Oh no, my favorite Missy Gray is a MR!!! I can't give him up, so I guess the neighborhood will have a new alarm clock.

I'll have to trade Blackie. So I should be looking for one that doesn't have any comb hardly and the tail feathers should be like Buffy.

Thanks everyone. I will have to trade the black Cochin for a hen, but I will keep the blue since he's my favorite out of everyone. He will just sit on my lap and let me pet him. Hopefully the neighbors won't complain.
