my 4 week old poult start I keep one eye closed this morning. s/he can open it up and moves around. I have had problems with these turkey and last week they we not doing so wel and we got them a shot and now they were gaining weight and moving around great until this morning. i don't know what to do. can this be normal?

I'm having a similar problem with a two-week-old poult. Her "winking" eye looks more watery than the other. Not sure what the issue is, but I am going to start her on some vitamin water to see if it helps.

Watch for signs of illness like crusty nose, sinuses puffing out, eyes bubbly or goopy-- you might need to treat with a general antibiotic like duramycin.

Sometimes just one eye or one side of the face is affected-- the bacteria is in the sinuses under the eye which is why the eye is often affected and the nostril.
