Can anyone help sex these Araucana?

Were you able to actually choose the chicks, or did they just choose them for you?
If you chose a breed that is autosexing you could read up about that particular breed and be able to choose girls. Or at least get a higher number of girls.
What will you do with these boys btw?

When I bought the chicks, the guy just gave them to me. I was with him when he grabbed them from his coop. I think I could have told him which ones I wanted if I knew any criteria with which to make the decision.

I’m not too keen on the idea of killing them. So far I’ve found two people that each want one male. I’ll see if I can give the others away as well.

By 5 weeks he SHOULD have. Grr. I hope he will do the right thing and trade them for pullets. By 5 weeks, I charge much less for cockerels than for pullets. And when the straight run chicks are getting old enough to tell but I’m not positive, I at least tell people.

You don’t get repeat customers by cheating them that way!

Sometimes you do not have a chance because all of the chicks in the bin they offer them in will be male.
