Lorain OH - need help finding a home for 200+ chickens - huge cock fighting ring

I was contacted by Rich Resendez Capt. of Lorain County Sheriff Dept. this
morning regarding a huge Cock / chicken fighting ring that was busted last
night in Lorain OH. He said they found cages where they were placed to fight
each other. They found syringes where the chickens were injected with drugs to
make them fight better! Some of the chickens have had their eyes pecked
out. Some may need to be euth. but others are ok.
I KNOW I AM SENDING THIS OUT TO MY DOG CONTACTS BUT I AM AT A LOSS !!
PLEASE CROSS POST THIS OUT AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS.

I just can't believe that people can do that to a helpless animal. They should be pecked to death by chickens!!

They specialize in not only the care of the fowl, but also in the education of those involved as to proper interim care. So many times a ring is "busted" for cockfighting that kills the fowl, only to have the "rescuers" euthanize/kill the fowl as well....kinda ironic...
