Can anyone help us to understand what to expect with Holderread order?

just as an additional update I received a catalog today with a hand written note that said they would be in contact in a couple weeks to update me as when they'd be available.

UPDATE
Okay, we got impatient and went ahead and emailed the holderread farm to confirm they did receive our order since we have not heard anything and we ordered in Feb.
Wanita responded promptly and confirmed our order and said they are a little behind. She did mention that Millie is starting the scheduling process. Yeah! She said that where we fall in line puts us to be scheduled within a few weeks. (Again for a reminder we put March 31 as preferred hatch.)
She also provided the tip sheet to get ready for the babies. She said she will contact us again when we are officially scheduled.
Cannot wait! :yesss:

New update....

We just received an email from Holderread saying our order has been scheduled for a shipment week of May 5 with back up weeks of May 12 and May 19. They said our order is taking awhile to fill because of the silver appleyards.

Again, remember we wrote March 31 hatch date, and we ordered in the beginning of Febuary. We ordered saxony, silver appleyard, and welsh harlequin from regular stock and top show quality.

They said they will contact the day/evening of shippment.

I ordered my ducks & goslings in the fall knowing that they wouldn't be available until spring so I waited maybe 6 months. A long wait, yes. Was it worth it, yes. Would I order from them again, yes.

Oh great! We are excited. What breeds did you order?[

Learningstill: I ordered 12 ducklings ohh I'd say late April maybe and just got an email saying they will ship my ducklings the same week you're getting yours. I kinda wish I woulda get them earlier like this month but I believe it would take em awhile to hatch their Golden Cascade since they're starting em back up. But I guess that's fine. I could say its a birthday gift for myself since my birthday is that week aha. Anyways this is my first time ordering from them and I'm really excited :weee I ordered 4 welsh harlequins, 4 Saxonys, and 4 Golden Cascades. I kinda wish I ordered Silver Appleyards because they look really cool but I'll be fine with the ones I ordered. :thumbsup Ivan

My last order was for K/C ducks and Embden geese.

That sounds like a great handful and a wonderful birthday experience! The golden cascades look lovely. My daughter cannot show them and that is the reason we did not order them. We ordered ten total. We wanted them early too, but I guess it was not meant to be. We were hoping more because the kids would have been able to spend more time with them over spring break and as sports were beginning and not in full swing. Getting them in May is going to be harder to bond with them as all the kid's activities pick up.

Please, when they arrive come back and post about your experience and post photos of your birthday present.

My bargain goslings are going to ship in May also. I got my 12 tips. I got ducklings last year. My Khakis are from Metzer.
