Can anyone help?

This is probably in the wrong place ... is my yellow hen changing colour, or is the black because she's molted? I just see a lot of black and last time I tried to look closer I almost got a claw in my eye for my trouble.

How long has she looked like that?

That looks like it could be dirt from dustbathing. Is there dirt that color in their run?

It could also be debris from a mite infestation, but I doubt it since if it were that bad she probably wouldn’t be walking around.
Is she behaving normally?

You can try to get a closer look at her with a flashlight when she roosts at night.

Thier sand isn't that colour, but they do have dirt, just not sure it's that colour.

She's not the top hen, but she does try to be, so she's been quite bossy, and is her normal self. As for checking her with a flashlight after she roosts ... once they're roosted, I can't reach them, let alone see with a torch. Legally blind lol. Thank you for helping though.
