Marans (always with an 's') do not have yellow feet as this bird does.

K, I've seen pics of Golden cuckoos but never seen one in real life. Never looked at legs on marans, (haven;t had any) So sorry, ignore my first post owner.

Nice story and nice of you to let him roost in your horse trailer! He is a smart boy for evading the predators!
