Yes looks like a red sex link to me. That is so nice you have a rescue hen I have always wanted to but haven't had the opportunity yet.
We did take in a chicken that wandered around our house for a while with no home though so I guess that sort of counts haha. Not quite the same though:)
Pretty hen by the way!

She was in such bad shape I really didn’t want her near my flock but I gave in. I kept her in a crate in my shed. The only thing I really found wrong with her aside from being starved was the scales on her legs were lifted. So I bought lice killer. I’ve been soaking her feet in the solution then covering her feet with vasaline. I have her in with my flock now. I’ll keep up the treatment until All the lifted scales on her feet fall off. I’m a bit nervous but I couldn’t keep her in the crate any longer. She took some beating from the others for a while. It’s all good so far.

Ahhh yes, that's one of those super rare African snake killing chickens........not really. Little Red Star. Put food in one end and eggs fly out of the other. Lays like a machine. Groovy find.

Aww that is really nice of you. I am glad she is getting better it sounds like you know what you are doing to fix the leg mites. Did she come from an egg factory? I am shocked at the horrific treatment that many large scale egg laying factories do to their chickens. It makes me sick. I am glad I have my own flock of happy healthy hens to get eggs from.
