Can anyone identify these little mamas?

I bought them at the Tractor Supply four weeks ago, and boy...I mean girl, do they grow fast. Currently getting the outside coop ready for their permanent home. The lady at the store said that they were Rhode Island Reds and they all look the same. So, is she correct or was she pulling my leg. (Until this picture I would never have believed that a chicken could be as regal as an eagle)

Looks to be a red hen. Could also be a New Hampshire red or even a golden comet.

Well, when any feed store says that they are "Rhode Island Reds" and they are actually the breed they are thinking they are...they are really what most chicken critics would call a "Production Red" which means they are similar to a R.I.R. but not the same. They have been bred for great egg production (mine lay an egg almost every day) and they are a very pretty mahogany color but they are not the same shape nor stature as a true R.I.R. Not to knock them if that is what you got. I have 2 of them and they are great birds, they are healthy, hardy and as I said, lay like clockwork. Yours do seem to have some light spots that mine never had so not sure what is up, may be the picture, may be the breeding.

Thanks. I am not a purist by any stretch. I was just looking for an animal that would earn its keep. I love eggs and my family goes through several dozen a week (big family), so production REDs might be just the ticket.

I have 4 and they do grow fast! I have 31 production reds only 1-2 weeks younger and don't have remotely the same color so IDK what's up. There were 3-4 with similar coloration in my second batch of reds so maybe a color variation?

Well mine that are that pretty red started out this color if that helps.

I really don't think that the look like Rhode island reds. golden or red sex links maybe? please help?

I would call them a red sexlink if not a production red.
Still nice birds.
