Can anyone identify this bird?

My wife wants to keep it. We have it some flock crumbles from our muscovy ducks last night. Went out to petsmart and got appropriate food. For now it's in a medium dog kennel but it has space to preen. Eating and drinking an preening so it seems ok. We have a guy down the street that raises pigeons. We think it might be his but if it isn't we will most likely build a proper coop.
