Can anyone identify this moth

Makes me wonder what other old timers,parents,grandparents, called things ,Like my Grandmother is from Checlaslovakia?[spell check] and would always call the ice box a frigidaire! or ,her telphone the call box!

Wow, my grandparents are from Slovakia (prior to the split). The eastern part of Slovakia. And what a nice story about the moth! I have always felt very blessed, and I guess now I am doubly blessed!

Sometimes we get these moths:

Promethea Moth
They are literally a handful, with about a 7 inch span. VERY pretty.
