We got up at 6:45 and ran down and we saw it had zipped most of the way round the shell...we whistled and were talking to it and OUT IT POPPED!

We have our first chick

It's absolutely beautiful, will post pics soon. Thankyou for the help and reassurances everyone

OMG! Congrats! This is my first hatch and I am on day 20 just frantic waiting for something to happen! I can't hear anything and the eggs aren't moving or rocking or anything and I thought they should. 2:40am and I can't sleep for going to look at the incubator.

That happened to me, too, quillizmightier...then we had this little pip that didn't even look like a hole, and nothing happened for hours. This morning we cam down and got to watch the little guy hatch

Now he's playing football with all the other eggs in there

Good luck with your hatch! You'll probably go to bed, and as soon as you've gone something will happen

Hurray we have another pip!

Now i understand why people are addicted to hatching eggs, the little fluffbutts at the end make it worth it. I've been sat here watching the eggs all day. The first chick is starting to find it's feet now

Second chick is out and is beautiful...the first chick gave it a few welcoming pecks to the head, but they're both sleeping at opposite sides of the incubator now
