I have (finally!) managed to get hatchable eggs and incubator working in synch, and hatched these little beauties just three weeks ago. They are Welsumers, and this is the first time I have had this breed. Can any experts out there figure out whether I have 2 girls and 2 boys, or 3 boys and 1 girl, at all??

Otherwise - just look at the cuties! :)

Well they are a bit young but the one all the way too the left has a mich more pronounce comb at this age so that one I would watch as it’s probably a cockerel. Lighting is hard to tell with the others but the next one in line on the left has no comb yet so thinking a pullet. Not sure on the other two.

Welsummers have sex-specific colouration. Black breast feathers means male. So the one on the end is male.

You could probably have sexed this bunch at hatch; Welsummer chicks are autosexing (though the reliability of that depends on the line). Male welsummer chicks are a bit lighter than females.

Yes. This is an interesting bunch.
Eyeliner, headliner, and breast feathers say 3 pullets to the right.
Breast feathers on far right are bit odd.
