By this age, feather Shape is the key to sexing. Females have round tip feathers in saddle area, neck and top hat breeds. In all these places- males have pointed feathers. Top hat roosters will have hen feathers on the tail until they are about a Year old. Older Roosters of these breeds will only have 2 long rooster feathers.
