I have not been successful at incubating Bantam eggs. I cannot seem to regulate the humidity with this incubator , granted I have only been doing this a year , still hatch rate is not good . It is the Farm Innovators 4250. I will be looking for another I just really don’t have 500 dollars in my budget at this time for a Brinsa . This egg was Incubated on April 5 .

Looks like bacteria got in, which killed the embryo.

I recommend the incucuview 360 if you are looking for another incubator. I have always had great hatch rates with it. Think it’s a little less than $200. Be sure to clean your incubator after/before each hatch. Also make sure you have backup/extra thermometers and hygrometers. Incubator ones are not always accurate. Getting the backup ones calibrated is important too. Another thing is that candling will help you to chose which ones to remove. Bad eggs will be pretty obvious at some point. It’s important to remove them or they may explode or bacteria can get in and spread to other eggs. They may also leak or smell bad. If they smell bad, that’s a pretty good hint that it’s time to remove it.
