Hi all,
I found one of my pullets limping around in the orchard and picked her up to find this on her foot? It looks like it’s been crushed by something. They sometimes go in with the horses to eat their leftovers. And I think one of the horses stepped on her foot? Does anyone have an idea on what to do? I have attached an image also.

Ouch. Does the toe bone appear to be broken? I would clean anything open, but it looks like this has started to scab over. A vetrycin or blue-kote would be good to help the skin heal.

I have cleaned it, I don’t think it is Bumblefoot, and I can’t tell if the bone is broken. However, she flew up onto the perch tonight on her own (it’s about 1.5m up from the ground) but I will check on her tomorrow and update you guys

It looks like it has started to heal on it's own, so if the joint is dislocated it will always be like that. I would just make sure that it keeps from getting infected.
