I am really curious I just got my shipment of buff orpington and yokohama chicks in today, and they put in some "males for warmth" and for the life of me I cannot figure out what they are!! Help? please! there are two of these and two darker ones with reletivly the same pattern (different gender same breed??) dont have good pics of those yet

Looks like an Easter Egger color, does it have a little beard on either side of its cheeks?

You could call the hatchery, and ask what they had a surplus of the day they were shipped.

Thanks, I actually called the hatchery and they said that there was no way they could really tell for sure...oh well !

btw, I looked up both breeds on google, and the pictures seem to match the chicks perfectly! thanks! Probably will give them to my parents though....
