Can anyone tell me what breed/sex this five week old chick is?

We got her when she was just a black fuzz-ball at a feed store, they told us she was a barred rock but she obviously isn't. Has a white/grey belly and throat and no sign of comb or wattle. That crazy little mowhawk gets bigger everyday. You can't tell by the photo but her wings are very large for her body and the tail is pretty long. Her "peep" also sounds more like a bird chirp which is weird. Whatever breed I am hoping for female because we aren't zoned for rooster and I really like her. Her name is Edith and I'm hoping I won't have to change that to Eddie and give it away.

Looks like a Polish or Polish mix. My other guess would be a Houdan, but they should have five toes on each foot. I'm not seeing any obvious rooster signs.

Looks like a Black Polish, or Polish mix, since the crest isn't quite what I would expect from a purebred Polish. Pullet for now.
