I am wondering if anyone knows what color my polish chick will end up being, and if you have a picture of a grown chicken for reference. I am new to this and am curious. The pictures are a bit more yellow in the second picture because of bad lighting. (S)he looks pretty silver/blue in some spots, and her head is yellowish white (I assume that will be white). Also, when will I have a better idea of sex? This baby is 1 week old and has long wing feathers (full wings) and tail feathers already, is much more feathered than my EE, BO, and BR. It is also a third the size...could it be a bantam? Thanks!

Looks like dark feathers on the wings, usually the lighter ones are female, darker ones are male. But I don't know if you have any other to compare to.

Cutie by the way

I have only one polish (my first) so I cannot compare. He/she is adorable...and tenacious. I have an inkling it is a roo...but I am holding out hope! It's wings are pretty dark, but the rest of it is light.

I have one that is older....I'll take a pic tomorrow if I think of it....Mine is 6 weeks tomorrow, and supposed to be a girl

Here are updated pictures:

His/her wings are black and white, could it be a splash? Still thinking cockerel? I have a what gender thread up and they all think pullet.

No, blacks and blues naturally have white on the wingtips and underside as well as the face. This looks to me like a normal WCBlue. If it were splash - It would be very light and almost entirely yellow colored with a hint of light blue.
