Well, I'm so new to this. We've had our chickens a little over two weeks now. My Easter Egger is laying an egg a day give or take a day. She doesn't seem to be getting as healthy as the rest though. The last few days I've been noticing her favoring one of her feet keeping it tucked up while on the roost. This evening we caught her and I applied Vaseline to both feet and heavily to the crusty one. Any ideas what this is and what I need to do?? Help. :(

That appears to be scaly leg mites. You can soak her foot in warm epsom salts water and use a soft toothbrush to try and gently scrub between the scales removing debris and mites feces. Then dry the area and continue to apply vaseline until completely healed which will take time.

It's probably scaly leg mites, especially if the scales are coming up (but the picture is blurry.) Gently scrubbing the legs with a soft toothbrush and soapy water once a week, then rubbing in vaseline or vegetable oil is pretty standard treatment. I would look at the foot pad for any dark spot that would be bumblefoot which is a staph infection abscess. Also mycoplasma synoviae (MS) is a chronic respiratory disease that can affect the joints, and may have no other symptoms. It can cause swelling of the feet or hocks, and sometimes a blister on the breast bone. Here is a link about both: http://www.thepoultrysite.com/diseaseinfo/99/mycoplasma-synoviae-infection-ms-infectious-synovitis
