Is it possible she is some other breed because she started quacking like my magpie hens /ducks, very loud and when excited non stop.. I'm 90% sure she is a she. I'll upload a photo when I can but she is feathering out solid brown.

Tried to introduce him /her to the magpies ducklings. Everything was fine they ignored Freebie for the most part that is until Freebie got into the wading pool than Drake tried to drown Freebie. He wasn't attempting to mate he was just holding Freebie under water .I was able to rescue freebie but I think despite all hope Freebies a male .
Ducks can be Asshats .
Think Freebie is going to be a house duck. Chickens he was raised with drive him off the food

Don't give up yet might be drake just needs more time to get use to freebie. Drake can be pains for sure but he may just see free as an intruder for now. Just never leave them alone.

I lost my gosling today and my DH wanted to cheer Me up with some Cochin bantams there was this one lone duckling there It was the last one. He bought 5 bantams that were left andView attachment 1298117 View attachment 1298117 View attachment 1298120 they gave him Freebie.. .( named it that). I'm thinking a mix breed maybe?
added note the bantams all have died .. Freebie seems to be strong.. We're not buying from tractor supply again !

It looks like you may be a khaki Campbell and they will put up with alot

They share a fence so they can see and interact. Magpies hatched 2-22 Freebie is 4-5 weeks old and half the size of the magpies.
