Can buttons/coturnix live with pigeons?

Just curious.

I've been thinking of making an aviary type thing for the pigeons (we have 9 right now, mostly birmingham rollers), and was curious if the buttons or coturnix would be okay living on the floor of the pigeon pen? Thoughts?

I've always done it. Just make sure that there isn't a feces buildup or the poor quail will have to walk in it.
