I have some 7-8 week olds and I was wondering if they could be outside when it is raining. Will they get sick? Thanks again.

Yes they can, as long as they are fully feathered. I wouldn't allow it though, if it was very cold.

They should be fully feathered out, so that should not be a problem.

My grown chickens have decided the pleasure of picking up redworms that come up out of the ground during a rain more than makes up for the displeasure of being soaking wet and looking absolutely pitiful. As long as they have a draft-free place to dry off and spend the night, they should be fine.

Mine won't come in from the rain. They have a covered run which they won't stay under either given the choice, even my silkies. Eventually they start looking really pathetic so I rounf them up and make them go in and dry off, but it doesn't seem to hurt them any.

Thanks guys! It aint that cold today anyway it is like in the 60's-70's already. I dont think it is suppose to rain all day anyway.
