Can chickens eat grapes?

Hi all,

I was wondering if grapes are safe for chickens to eat. Can they have the whole thing? Or do you need to take out the seeds? etc.

Grapes are completely safe for chickens.It can be fed whole.

They can eat grapes better than we can, and leave the seeds they love them.

Unfortunately, seed and all. Being the genus I am, I placed a pen directly under my grape arbor where one bird got up and figured out grapes where tasty. He then called others up where they got up without aid of pen. They consumed about 3 gallons of grapes in one afternoon. They show a similar interest in Elder Berries.

I have muscadine grapes growing on fences on two sides of my chicken run, for shade, they eat them all. Muscadines have pretty tough skins, and there are no problems. I also feed table grapes when it's hot out, as a change from watermelon.

Grapes are one of my girls favorite treats! I keep them cold and it’s a nice cool treat in this heat. Blueberries and strawberries too.

Mine love grapes. We also have a grapevine planted on their run.
