It just so happens I have a cart load of lilly of the valley that I dug up and I didn't want to put them in the compost pile, where they may take over . My outside chicken run seems the best place to dump them. Will this hurt my chickens? Now and latter if they take over that area? It's the root clumps and all.

You should put it on Craigslist. People will take it. I wish I was closer. I would take it in a heartbeat! My husband just dug mine up from our house in NY and brought it to me in TN. Plus I bought some more this spring.

It reminds me of my grandmothers house when I was a child. I love it!

They are on the poisonous list. Like some else said list them on Craig's list or Freecycle is a good place to get rid of what you don't want or need.
